CUSTOMS FEES CHANGES IN EL SALVADOR

Following continuous technical dialogues with various productive sectors in El Salvador and their associations, and due to the international pressure from exporters, the General Customs Direction concluded a new review and reclassification of fees for the increase in extraordinary services rendered by the Customs Administrations and Delegations of (7.500%). The result is a significant reduction, which came into force on 5 June, 2013..

The new fees for extraordinary services in Customs Administrations and Delegations are:

For each extra hour (Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM or after 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. From $ 259.33 to $ 59.60
For each extra hour at night (Monday to Friday) From $ 280.33 to $74.50
For each extra hour on weekly rest day or holidays (Sunday and holidays) From $ 315.24 per to $ 90.24

Food and transportation costs to the Customs delegates´ homes will be provided by the applicant for extraordinary services. Zones Managers and / or Services Parks, custodians and users must present the corresponding request and forms to the Customs Manager, with one day in advance.
