In order to streamline administrative requirements and procedures for the granting of permits and licenses for the development of construction projects and land parcel throughout the country , last November it was approved by the Congress of El Salvador , a new regulatory act that aims to encourage investment in construction , setting clear and specific procedures and deadlines , which were previously unavailable .
The new legislation leaves out building projects of individual character and existing buildings remodeling permits.
As a novelty, no response from the institutions ( Administrative Silence ) will be taken for the first time as a positive response , that is, the project will be deemed approved, in the case that no response is received within the time limits.
Under this new procedure, it is created an integrated system streamline, consisting of various public institutions required to support the development of the system that will run for the first time on the basis of a fully centralized computer program , making it easier to keep track on each process .
